Net gaming revenue in Rhode Island totaled $59 million in May, rising 5.6% from last year’s figure of $55.9 million.
The figures, published by the Rhode Island Lottery, show that Bally’s Twin River generated the highest revenue last month, reporting $44.9 million. This rose 4.5% year-over-year, growing from $42.9 million recorded in May 2024.
Bally’s Tiverton recorded the highest revenue growth of May, rising 9% from $13 million to $14.2 million.
Video lottery terminals made up the most of net gaming revenue, recording $47.8 million, an 8.2% increase over last year’s total of $44.2 million. Table games’ net revenue dropped 4.2% from $11.7 million to $11.2 million.
Rhode Island lawmakers recently passed a bill that would phase out smoking inside both of the state’s casinos. Yet, despite proponents of the bill supporting a zero-smoking policy, a compromise was met to allow one smoking lounge at each of the Bally’s properties.
The bill awaits signing by the state’s governor.
