Resorts World Las Vegas has announced the first partnership between a casino-resort and a robotaxi company. Resorts World named Zoox, an autonomous ride-hailing company, as that partner.

Resorts World and Zoox aim to shape the future of hospitality and travel in Las Vegas. As part of the partnership, Zoox will receive a dedicated and branded pickup and drop-off location for its autonomous ride-hailing service at Resorts World. The company will also be provided with additional onsite opportunities, including an experiential activation within the resort.

“This collaboration with Zoox reflects our commitment to integrating technology that elevates our service offerings and enhances how guests experience our property,” said Carlos Castro, CFO of Resorts World. “By welcoming Zoox robotaxis into our transportation ecosystem, we’re creating new possibilities for our guests, while reinforcing Las Vegas’s position as a global innovation hub.”

Zoox is the first company in history to operate a purpose-built robotaxi on public roads, which it has been driving in Las Vegas since June 2023. Its robotaxi holds up to four passengers in carriage-style seating.

“When visitors ride with Zoox, they’ll find the service offers an extension of the hospitality they’ve come to expect from Resorts Worlds’s collection of brands, including Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords,” said Michael White, chief product officer for Zoox. “This partnership will allow us to enhance the overall guest journey, adding to their Las Vegas experience with personalized mobility.”

Zoox plans to open its autonomous ride-hailing service to the broader general public in Las Vegas later this year.
