Registration open for International Center for Responsible Gaming conference

The International Center for Responsible Gaming on Wednesday announced that registration for its annual conference on gambling and addiction is open.

The conference will be October 5-6 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.

Speakers scheduled to appear include:

  • Daniel Umfleet, Kindbridge Behavioral Health
  • Timothy Fong, MD, University of California, Los Angeles
  • Michael Wohl, PhD, Carleton University
  • Seth McCullock, PhD, Cambridge Health Alliance
  • Robert Astur, PhD, University of Connecticut

There are 18 other speakers scheduled to appear.

A wide range of topics is on the agenda, including:

  • Tailoring responsible gambling messages to player risk and motivation
  • Detecting risk in real time through targeted RG strategies
  • Reinforcement-based interventions and translational models of risk
  • Integrated treatments for gambling and co-occurring conditions
  • Digital screening tools and brief intervention strategies
  • Sports betting, alcohol, and cannabis co-use and related risks
  • AI-powered tools and innovations in responsible gambling
  • Public perceptions of sports betting policy

Continuing education credits are available. Approved continuing education agencies include the Association for Addiction Professionals; the National Board of Certified Counselors; and the American Psychological Association.
