The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Thursday issued its 16th Annual Diversity Report. The document provides descriptions of each of the state’s 17 casino’s efforts to implement diversity plans and actions taken toward the state’s goal of enhanced representation of diverse groups in the gaming industry.
In the introduction to the document, PGCB Director of Diversity Mozelle E. Daniels wrote that the state requires casinos to “maintain local preferences in their hiring practices.”
“As Pennsylvania’s gaming industry has evolved, diversity, equity, and inclusion have remained at the forefront of the PGCB’s mission,” Daniels added. “Notwithstanding changes to the (Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act), casino ownership, casino executive management, or within the PGCB, diversity, equity, and inclusion has been and continues to be an outstanding achievement of the entire industry.
