Oregon: Three Rivers Casino names Shelby Erickson director of human resources

Three Rivers Casino in Florence, Oregon, Friday announced that Shelby Erickson will serve as its new director of human resources. Erickson started her career at the casino, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians, in 2016 as a food and beverage server.

“I firmly believe that a company’s success is intricately linked with the happiness and growth of its team members,” Erickson said in a statement. “Three Rivers Casino shares this belief, and I’m thrilled to lead our HR team in nurturing and developing our remarkable workforce.”

Erickson earned a master’s degree in human resources management from Colorado State University, specializing in online learning and teaching practices. She also has earned certifications in Tribal Human Resource Professional I and II, Leadership Essentials, and Effective Employee Misconduct Investigations.

“Helping people is my passion,” Erickson said. “I like to find what makes them passionate because wanting to come to work is important, and I am excited to step into this role.”
