Penn Entertainment announced on Thursday that it expects to open its new state-of-the-art hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus on June 12, pending customary regulatory approvals.
The 203-room hotel represents an expansion for Hollywood Casino Columbus, offering upscale accommodations at the city’s gaming, dining and entertainment experience. The 150,000 square-foot tower will feature 183 standard rooms and 20 luxury suites, a full-service bar and restaurant – The Hill Eatery & Lounge – conference rooms, a fitness center and an outdoor seating terrace.
Guests will be able to book rooms beginning April 15 by visiting the Hollywood Casino Columbus website.
“We’re thrilled to officially announce the opening date for our new hotel at Columbus, which positions us to be the top entertainment destination in the region,” Penn Entertainment CEO and President Jay Snowden said in a statement. “This opening will mark our third retail development project to be completed in under a year, building on the momentum from our new casino in Joliet and second hotel tower at the M Resort.”
The hotel will add roughly 100 jobs to the west side of Columbus. Hollywood Casino Columbus will host job fairs for all hotel staff positions on March 27 and April 10.
The property will host grand opening celebrations on June 12, highlighted by an outdoor festival and concert.
Hollywood Casino Columbus also will introduce an expanded high-limit table games room in the second half of 2026, pending customary regulatory approvals.
The Columbus hotel tower will mark the third of Penn’s previously announced growth projects to be completed. In 2025, Penn opened a new land-based casino in Joliet, Illinois, and a new hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas. Penn also expects to open the Hollywood Casino Aurora in Illinois in the second quarter of this year.
A new land-based property in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is anticipated to open in late 2027 or early 2028.
