The Brook, a charity casino located in Seabrook, New Hampshire, Tuesday announced donations of more than $4 million to local charities.

Casinos in New Hampshire are required to donate at least 35% of gaming revenue to charities. The Brook has donated $8 million to charities since it was acquired by the Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort in 2019.

“Seeing the potential of New Hampshire’s charity-casino model brought us home to build The Brook,” said CEO Andre Carrier in a statement. “These numbers show how significantly our business can provide for essential service organizations in New Hampshire.”

Carrier operates The Brook with Greg Lee. Both are natives of New England.

Past donations have gone to organizations including Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie’s Angels, and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels.

“Every day, people are confronted by real problems that need to be solved; from hunger to addiction to suicide prevention,” Carrier said. “And there are incredible people serving these causes across the Granite State at hundreds of charities. Our 100% employee-owned company has provided millions to these essential charities and the continued remodel and expansion of The Brook should indicate it is our intention to raise millions more in service to New Hampshire.”

The Brook, located on the site of the former Seabrook Greyhound Park, completed a multi-year multi-million-dollar renovation earlier this year that included an expanded gaming area, a 300-seat showroom, a grand ballroom, and meeting spaces.
