Charitable gaming revenue in New Hampshire showed a 61% increase year-over-year in June, rising from just less than $14 million to $22.5 million, fueled by the openings of new casinos.
The New Hampshire Lottery Commission reported that of the 14 casinos in operation, six saw revenue rises year-over-year, with the most significant being Revo Casino Lebanon, which saw a 303% rise year-over-year from $358,567 to over $1.4 million, after it opened a much larger casino in a different location in December.
The Nash, which opened in March, generated the most significant revenue, at $5.8 million. Other casinos reported double-figure gains, including The Brook, which saw a 15% increase year-over-year from $4.5 million to $5.1 million, and Lakes Region Casino, which saw a 32% rise from $136,747 to $180,695.
The Lucky Moose saw the largest fall, losing 73% of its revenue year-over-year, from $639,229 to $179,840, while Gates City and Revo Casino Keene also saw double-figure decreases of 20% and 21%, respectively.
Historical horse racing accounted for 78.4% of the state’s revenue in June, with a total of $17.6 million earned, up 72% from the previous year’s figure of $10.8 million, while games of chance generated $4.9 million, up 33% year-over-year.
