Bally’s Corporation Monday announced that MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa has been renamed Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino & Hotel. The property-wide rebrand, which will include new Bally’s dice, cards, gaming chips, table game layouts, and interior and exterior signage, is expected to be finished in the first half of 2022.

“We are proud to bring the Bally’s brand to Lake Tahoe, and it’s an exciting time for our customers and team members,” said Bally’s CEO George Papanier in a statement.  “I’d like to thank the State of Nevada for its collaboration throughout this process, and I’d also like to recognize our team members for their contributions to this significant endeavor.”

The renaming of the MontBleu is the latest step in a property-wide rebrand of Bally’s casinos. In July, the Rhode Island-based gaming operator rebranded its Colorado properties — Golden Gates Casino, Golden Gulch Casino, and Mardi Gras Casino – to Bally’s Black Hawk.

During its second quarter investors’ call, Bally’s CEO George Papanier said the rebranding of its properties would take place over a year.

“In the next 12 months, all of our casinos other than Hard Rock Biloxi will be rebranded to ‘Bally’s,’ increasing the awareness of our brand and providing the company opportunities to send local customers to our destination casinos, as well as a national player database and incentive program,” Papanier said in August.

The gaming operator also Monday announced its all-new Bally Rewards, a four-tiered card program. All existing rewards will be transferred to members’ new Bally Rewards cards.

Bally’s Lake Tahoe will soon announce its official plans for a grand opening celebration in the first quarter of 2022.
