Nevada and the Las Vegas Strip finished 2025 just edging out its performance in gaming revenue of 2024.
Nevada Gaming Control Board Senior Economic Analyst Shelley Newell issued the year-end calculations that showed Nevada finished the year with a 1.2% increase in gaming revenue, even after a 1.6% decline in December. The Strip finished the year up 0.3%, despite a 6.1% decline in December.
All markets were up in 2025 in gaming win, with one exception; North Shore Lake Tahoe was down 7.4%.
Statewide total win was up 36% or $380.9 million over December 2019. December 2025 represents the 58th consecutive month that the state has recorded $1 billion in monthly gaming win. When compared to December 2023, Nevada’s December 2024 gaming win increased 2%, with the Las Vegas Strip’s gaming win decreasing by 2.7%, Newell said.
There was a favorable calendar compared to December 2024, with one additional weekend day.
In December, Nevada sportsbooks won $67.6 million, up 351.9% or $52.6 million compared to December 2024 on a hold percentage of 9.1% versus 1.8% in 2024. Last December, the sportsbooks had a lower-than-normal sports win of only $15.0 million. Sportsbook wagers totaled $746.7 million, down 9.1% or $74.5 million compared to December 2024, when $821.2 million was wagered statewide. Mobile wagers totaled $541 million, down 5.6% or $31.8 million, and accounted for 72.5% of all wagers, Newell said.
The Gaming Control Board broke down the gaming win by segment and how it got there in December.
The Strip had a total win of $827.7 million, a decrease of 6.1% ($53.5 million) versus December 2024. The Las Vegas Strip’s games win of $366.6 million decreased 5% or $19.2 million and drop totaled $2.4 billion and decreased 3.6% or $90.7 million. Games hold percentage was 15.1% versus 15.4% last year. Baccarat win on the Strip totaled $156.4 million and was down $40.8 million or 20.7%. Volume totaled $961.7 million, up 1.4% or $13.0 million, and hold was 16.3% versus 20.8%, Newell said.
The Strip’s slot win totaled $461.2 million and decreased 6.9% or $34.3 million, and coin-in of $6.4 billion (an all-time high) was up $89 million or 1.4%. Slot win percentage was 7.2% versus 7.9% last year, Newell said.
Downtown Las Vegas’s total win of $86.1 million increased 4.7% ($3.8 million) in December. For the year, total win was up 2.1%.
Downtown slot win totaled $56.8 million and decreased 0.8% ($446,000). Slot coin-in was down 2.3% ($15.8 million). Slot win percentage was 8.5% versus 8.4% last year. Game and table win totaled $29.3 million, up 17.1% ($4.3 million). Games drop decreased 4.6% or $14.6 million on a hold of 9.7% versus 7.9% last year.
North Las Vegas’s total win of $26.6 million increased 5.3% ($1.3 million) in December. It rose 4.6% in 2025. Slot win totaled $23.8 million and increased 1.5% or $346,000. Volume was up 1.1% or $3.5 million and hold was 7.7% versus 7.6%.
The Boulder Strip’s total win of $95.7 million was up 9% ($7.9 million) in December. For the year, total win was up 3.8%. Slot win was up 6.4% ($5.1 million). Slot coin-in was up 1.3% ($15 million) and slot hold was 7.2% versus 6.8%. Game and table win totaled $10.5 million, up 36.2% ($2.8 million). Games volume was up 1.4% ($941,000) and hold was 15.6% versus 11.6%.
For the balance of Clark County, total win of $167.9 million was up 4.2% ($6.8 million) in December. For the year, total win was up 1.2%. Game and table win totaled $37.9 million, up 21.5% ($6.7 million). Games volume was down 9.4% ($28.4 million) and hold was 13.8% versus 10.3%. Slot win totaled $130 million and was up 0.3% or $34,000. Volume was up 0.9% or $18.2 million and hold was only slightly down at 6.4%.
Mesquite’s total win of $17.8 million was up 11.2% ($1.8 million). For the year, total win was up 7.1%. Slot win was up 10% ($1.5 million). Slot coin-in was up 0.9% ($18.2 million) and hold 6.9% versus 6%.
Laughlin’s total win of $37.9 million was up 9.8% ($3.4 million) in December. For the year, total win rose 2.4%. Slot win was up 8.5% ($2.7 million). Slot coin-in was down 0.4% ($1.6 million) and hold was 8.3% versus 7.7%.
Washoe County’s total win of $91.4 million increased 1.5% ($1.3 million) in December. For the year, total win rose 3.4%.
Washoe County’s slot win decreased 0.5% ($347,000). Slot coin-in totaled $1.4 billion and was up 2.5% ($33.8 million) versus December 2024 and hold was 5.5% versus 5.7% last year. Game and table win totaled $15.2 million, up 12.5% ($1.7 million). Games volume dropped 9.3% ($9.1 million) and hold was 17.2% versus 13.8%. Washoe sportsbooks were up 343.1%. Volumes were down 0.8% on a hold percentage of 13.2% versus 3% last year.
Reno’s total win of $64.8 million decreased 1.6% ($1.1 million) in December. For the year, total win rose 3.6%. Slot win was down 3.5% or $1.9 million. Volume was up 2.4% ($22.9 million) with a hold of 5.4% versus 5.7% last year.
Sparks’s win totaled $16.6 million and increased 10.3% ($1.6 million) in December. For the year, total win rose 2.6%. Slot win totaled $15.6 million and increased 8.4% ($1.2 million). Coin-in increased 1.6% ($4.3 million) and hold was 5.7% versus 5.3% last year.
Carson Valley’s total win of $11.7 million decreased 0.5% ($61,000) in December. For the year, total win rose 3.6%. Slot win down 3% ($342,000). Slot coin-in was down 2.6% ($4.7 million). Slot hold percentage was 6.2% versus 6.3%.
South Lake Tahoe’s total win of $20.8 million increased 7.5% ($1.5 million) in December. For the year, total win rose 1.5%. Slot win increased 1.8% ($240,000) and volume was down 1% ($1.7 million). Hold was 8.1% versus 7.9%.
Elko’s total win of $34.8 million increased 1.9% ($638,000) in December. For the year, total win rose 3.2%. Slot win increased 1% ($292,000). Slot coin-in increased 5% ($24.1 million). Slot hold was 5.7% versus 6.1%.
