Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise recently announced Michael Michaud will return as Chief Marketing Officer. Michaud has more than 35 years of casino operations and marketing leadership experience, including several years previously spent with Navajo Gaming.
“We’re delighted to welcome Michael back to the Navajo Gaming family,” said Navajo Gaming CEO John James. “He’s a trusted, proven leader who brings not only unmatched industry experience but a deep commitment to our mission. His return comes at a pivotal time as we look to expand our brand reach and elevate the guest experience across all properties.”
Michaud most recently served as CEO of Leech Lake Gaming in north central Minnesota. His background includes work with the Ho-Chunk Nation in Wisconsin, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska.
In 2012, Michaud and his team were honored as the Barona/VCAT Indian Gaming Tribal Marketing Team of the Year.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Michaud will oversee all aspects of brand strategy, advertising, digital marketing, guest loyalty, promotions, and public relations across Navajo Gaming’s portfolio: Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona; Fire Rock Navajo Casino in Church Rock, New Mexico; Northern Edge Navajo Casino in Farmington, New Mexico; Flowing Water Navajo Casino in Shiprock, New Mexico; and the Navajo Blue Travel Plaza in Flagstaff, Arizona. He will be tasked with advancing guest engagement, building brand equity, and aligning marketing efforts with the Navajo Nation’s broader economic and cultural goals.
“I’m incredibly honored to rejoin Navajo Gaming,” said Michaud. “This organization has always meant a great deal to me. I look forward to working alongside this talented team to build on our legacy and create powerful, memorable experiences for our guests while supporting the growth and prosperity of the Navajo Nation.”
