The National Council of Legislator from Gaming States will hold its Summer Meeting July 9-12 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

The NCLGS Winter Meeting will be in December in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with dates and at a site to be announced.

“With gaming expansion being proposed or discussed in almost every state, uncertainty with state budgets and major question marks on the federal level, we expect our Summer Meeting in Louisville to be a vital forum for legislators,” NCLGS President and West Virgina Delegate Shawn Fluharty said in a statement.

The four-day Summer Meeting will include “The Big Picture – Focus on the Future Gaming Leaders,” a series of short, informative “101 classes” for legislators and regulators from across the country and open to all attendees. A similar session held at the NCLGS Summer Meeting 2023 in Denver was standing room only.

Also included will be keynote addresses, legislative committee sessions, general sessions, a joint legislator/regulator roundtable, two evening receptions and other networking opportunities.

Gaming Laboratories International will kick things off with its annual regulator seminar co-location July 9.

Sessions, open to all attendees, will focus on issues facing gaming, from the expansion of sports betting, igaming and ilottery,  taxation, compacts with tribal operators, sweepstakes, illegal gambling and new land-based gaming operations.

The 2024 Winter Meeting in New Orleans drew more than 300 attendees, including more than 120 legislators and regulators.
