Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Baltic, Connecticut, on Wednesday announced it will unveil a multi-million-dollar golf course renovation designed to enhance the overall player experience when it opens for its season on April 15.
“Mohegan Sun Golf Club has undergone a significant course upgrade after our multi-year, multi-million-dollar renovation, and we can’t wait to open the reimagined course on April 15,” MSGC Vice President & General Manager Philip Krick Jr. said in a statement. “We’ve made key improvements not just to the overall course, but also to our online booking systems, making it easier than ever for guests to secure tee times and enjoy a seamless experience from the moment they book to the moment they step onto one of the most beautiful courses in the region.”
The renovation project focused on improving the playability and aesthetics at the course. Featuring design guidance and expertise from architect Ron Garl, the redesign introduced strategic bunker reductions, upgraded cart paths, selective tree removal, and a series of other adjustments to optimize sightlines and overall play.
The initiative prioritized an enhanced golfing experience for all players — and delivers a noticeably smoother pace of play — an achievement brought to life by the MSGC team.
The project also introduces two new designs for hole #3, #6 and #11. Upgrades also include new irrigation and drainage systems, ensuring improved playing conditions.
Mohegan Sun Golf Club offers a suite of amenities, including the Greenside Grille & Pub for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Triple Tee Snack Bar, and beverage cart service.
MSGC also is home to the Mohegan Sun Golf Academy, which features enhanced indoor and outdoor coaching facilities, and opportunities for golfers to learn from PGA professionals through state-of-the-art video, shot‑tracking technology, and adaption of the Drive, Chip, & Putt skills challenge. Operating on a co‑active coaching model that emphasizes personalized feedback, the academy provides one‑on‑one learning experience, monthly sessions, and a full suite of programs that include group lessons and custom club fittings with leading brands.
Mohegan Sun Golf Club also will host Connecticut State Golf Association events this season, including the 20th Senior Match Play Championship June 29–July 2, and the Connecticut Open & Connecticut Mid‑Amateur Qualifier on June 16.
