Mohegan on Friday announced that Steve Netopski has been promoted to Director of IT. The appointment follows the recent election of Chuck Harris to the Mohegan Tribal Council, who previously held the Director of IT position.

Netopski, who began his career at Mohegan Sun in 2000 as a computer operator, has steadily advanced through a variety of IT roles, most recently serving as manager of Technical Services and Converged Communications.

Netopski will oversee daily IT operations and manage property-wide IT requests.

“Steve Netopski’s promotion is a testament to his dedication, leadership and deep understanding of our IT infrastructure,” Mohegan CIO & Senior Vice President of IT Mark Rosa said in a statement “His vision, hard work and commitment to excellence will be integral to our enhanced and further streamlined technology services across Mohegan Sun.”

Netopski, who will serve as part of the IT leadership team under Mohegan Vice President of Global IT John Ware, also will help shape the department’s strategic direction, budgeting, and customer relationship management across all operating departments. With 26 years of IT experience and a track record of implementing solutions that drive value, he brings technical expertise and strategic vision to this expanded role.

According to a news release, Netopski prioritizes a team approach and strong client partnerships that support effective IT service delivery.

The promotion to Director of IT reunites the broader IT team fully under Corporate IT Services & Support structure, strengthening collaboration and efficiency while creating opportunities for enhanced innovation and streamlined service across Mohegan’s enterprise.
