Missouri June gaming revenue increased at most casinos

Missouri gaming revenue at the state’s casinos reached $155.6 million in June, an 8.8% increase over the same month in 2019, according to the Missouri Gaming Commission.

Slot revenues in June 2021 were $135.4 million, an increase of 10% compared to June 2019, but table games revenues were 1.0% percent lower for the latest period, at $20.6 million.

Because of widespread casino closures in June 2020, totals from June 2019 are used to compare revenue.

Ameristar Casino in St. Charles generated the most revenue in Missouri in June, with $24.7 million, an increase of 4.0% from June 2019. River City Casino & Hotel in St. Louis brought in 19.7 million, an 18.0% increase.

Other significant revenue increases occurred at Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Boonville, where revenue jumped 13.0% to $7.3 million, and Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, which generated $17.0 million, a 7.0% increase from June 2019.

Also, Harrah’s North Kansas City logged $14.8 million in June revenue, a 2.0% increase from June 2019. Revenue at Lumiere Place Casino Hotel in St. Louis was $14.0 million, a 3.0% increase, and Argosy Riverside Casino Hotel generated $13.7 million, 3.0 higher than in June 2019.

Only Hollywood Casino St. Louis saw a decrease in revenue from June 2019, the $19.2 million generated this year is a 6.8% drop.
