Missouri riverboat casinos collected $177.9 million in adjusted gross revenues in March 2025, an almost 1.5% rise from the $175.3 million generated in March 2024 and up from the $149.3 million casinos reported during February.
According to the Missouri Gaming Commission, Ameristar SC remained the most significant contributor to overall AGR, adding $26.5 million, which barely increased from the $26.4 million added in March 2024. River City increased its AGR by 8% year-on-year, jumping from $22.8 million to $24.7 million.
Hollywood Casino’s AGR increased by 4% to reach $22.5 million, making it the last of three casinos to generate more than $20 million in March.
The casino with the most significant increase was Century Caruthersville, where AGR jumped 17% year-on-year, hitting $5.5 million.
It was not a positive month for every riverboat casino, with Bally’s Kansas City and Harrah’s Kansas City seeing AGR dropping by 2% and 1%, respectively. Century Cape saw an AGR drop of 8% year-on-year, while Argosy lost almost $1 million in AGR as revenues fell by 6%.
Missouri casinos may not remain the only legal locations to offer slot machines, as the House approved a plan to legalize slot machines in bars and gas stations in April.
