Missouri casinos collected $169.1 million in adjusted gross revenue in April, up 9 percent compared to April 2024’s 155.8 million.

The uptick in year-over-year revenues continued the trend Missouri riverboat showed in March, with a 1.5% rise in revenues compared to the year prior.

The Missouri Gaming Commission report showed that Ameristar SC was the most significant contributor of the 13 casinos, collecting $26.2 million in April, up 9%.

Only two other casinos generated more than $20 million – Hollywood Casino and River City. River City saw revenues rise 7% year-over-year to $22.6 million, while Hollywood Casino revenue jumped 10% compared to April 2024.

However, that rise paled compared to the most significant revenue increase, with Harrah’s KC seeing adjusted gross revenue rising 47% year-on-year.

Only four casinos saw revenues decrease year-over-year in April, and the difference for St. Jo Frontier Casino was less than 1%. Revenues at Mark Twain Casino and Argosy Casino dropped by 4% year-over-year. The most significant slide was seen at Century Cape Casino, with a revenue decline of 11% year-over-year.

The Missouri gambling market could change pretty significantly in 2025, with a Missouri Senate committee considering legislation to regulate video gambling machines that are unlicensed and operating at truck stops and convenience stores.
