Missouri riverboat casinos up 4% year-over-year in September
Missouri’s 13 riverboat casinos generated $156.5 million in revenue last month, up 4& from the previous year’s figure of $150 million.
The figures, published by the Missouri Gaming Commission, showed that of the 13 casinos, seven reported year-over-year revenue increases, while the other six recorded declines.
Ameristar St. Charles generated the highest revenue in September at $23.3 million, dropping 1% from $23.6 million.
Other double-digit revenue figures came from River City, which increased 5% to $21.5 million, Hollywood Casino, which was up 3% to $21 million, Ameristar Kansas City, which dropped 4% to $15.8 million, Harrah’s Kansas City, up 20% to $15 million, Horseshoe St Louis, which had the greatest revenue increase in September at 25%, rose to $13.3 million, Argosy Casino, down 3% to $12.1 million, and Bally’s Kansas City, which recorded the largest decline of the month dropping 8% year-over-year to $10.2 million.
Combined slot revenue totaled $133.5 million, up 5% year-over-year from $128 million. Table games also increased last month, rising from $21.8 million to $22.9 million, representing a 5% year-over-year increase.
