Mississippi commercial casino revenue remained stable year-over-year in September, with a decline of 1.8% from $190.7 million to $187.2 million.
According to the latest figures from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, which reports casino revenue by region, of the three regions, two saw profits remain stable, while one saw a year-over-year decrease.
The highest revenue was generated in the Coast region, where profits remained stable, with a 1.3% decline year-over-year from $126.2 million to $124.6 million. Revenue from slots remained stable, seeing a 0.1% decrease, and table games revenue decreased by 3.9%.
Revenue in the Central region remained stable, with profits decreasing by 1% from $24.9 million to $24.6 million. Table games revenue in the region soared, increasing 23.7%. Slots revenue remained stable, with a 1.7% decrease.
The Northern region was the only area where profits decreased year-over-year, falling by 4% from $39.5 million to $37.9 million. Table games and slots saw profits decline, with table games revenue decreasing 14.7% and slots falling 5.1%.
Statewide slot revenue remained stable, declining 1.9% from $156.6 million to $153.6 million, while table games saw revenue decline by 4.4% year-over-year from $25 million to $23.9 million.
