Mississippi’s three casino regions saw a 2.5% rise in revenue year-over-year from $205.5 million to $210.7 million in July.
The latest report from the Mississippi Gaming Commission divides revenue by region, with Coastal, Central, and Northern casinos all seeing revenue rises year-over-year.
Coastal casinos saw the most significant revenue increase year-over-year, 10.4%, increasing from $126.4 million to $139.6 million. Slot revenue in the region constituted 66.2% of the state’s total, with July revenue reaching $116.9 million and table games revenue totaling $20.1 million.
The Central and Northern regions saw revenue increases year-over-year of 1.7% and 3.6%, respectively.
The Northern region generated $45.4 million, up from $43.8 million the year prior. Table games saw the largest year-over-year increase out of all the regions, at 47%, with revenue rising from $4.4 million to $6.5 million.
Revenue for the Central Region rose from $25.2 million to $25.7 million, with slot revenue showing a rise of 5% from $21.9 million to just more than $23 million.
Mississippi’s casino revenue also increased 6.6% month-over-month from the $197.6 million generated in June.
