Mississippi casinos report $198.6 million in revenue for December, down 1.2% year-over-year

Mississippi’s three casino regions recorded $198.6 million in revenue for December, down 1.2% from a year ago.

The figures, published by the Mississippi Gaming Commission, showed that statewide slot revenue totaled $168.7 million, down 1%, while table game revenue declined 17.2% to $22.4 million. Retail sports betting generated $4.4 million.

The state’s Coastal region reported $126.6 million in revenue, the highest of the three areas, but down 0.6%. Slot revenue was down 0.3% to $109.3 million, and table game revenue was down 22.1% to $14.3 million.

The Central region recorded $27.8 million in revenue last month, up 6.1%. Slot revenue for the region declined 0.2% to $23.6 million and table game revenue was up 6.3%, to $2.3 million.

Revenue in the Northern region totaled $44.2 million, down 6.9%. Slot revenue was down 3.4% to $35.7 million, and table game revenue was down 11.4% to $5.8 million.
