Mississippi’s commercial casinos generated $195.5 million in revenue in April, up 1.8% from $192 million in April 2024.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission’s monthly report showed that gross gaming revenue for casinos in the Gulf Coast region increased 2.9% from $124.19 million to $127.74 million.
Casino revenue in the central region increased 3.2% from $26.16 million in April 2024 to $27.02 million this year, and the casinos in the north dropped 2.1% to $40.81 million from $41.7 million.
Mississippi has one of the most developed casino sectors outside of Nevada, with 29 commercial casinos and three operated by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. One of the state’s commercial casinos was recently reported to be behind on its payments to the City of Natchez.
