Mississippi casinos generated just more than $189 million in January, up 1.9% year-over-year.
The latest report from the Mississippi Gaming Commission shows that slot revenue in the state rose 1.6% year-over-year to $154.5 million. Table games revenue increased 13.5% from just more than $24 million to $27.3 million. Retail sports wagering declined 20% to $4.1 million.
Among the state’s three regions with casinos, the Coastal region was the only one to see revenue rise year over year, to $131.2 million. Slots and table games revenue rose, with table games revenue rising by 19.7% to $20.6 million, and slots rising 7.2% to $107.4 million.

The Northern region saw the largest year-over-year revenue decline in January, falling 14% to $33.5 million. Table games revenue in the region fell 10.8% to $4.7 million, and slots fell 13.2% to $26.2 million.
The Central region saw revenue decline 3% to $24.3 million. While slot revenue declined in the region by 3.8% to $20.9 million, table games revenue jumped 26.7% to just less than $2 million.
