Mississippi casinos generated $200.6 million in revenue for February, up 5.8% from the previous year.
The figures, published by the Mississippi Gaming Commission, show that slots accounted for $167.2 million of the combined total, up 4.9%. Table games increased 6.8% to $27.1 million. Retail sports betting generated $3.5 million.
Of the state’s three casino regions, Mississippi coastal casinos recorded the highest revenue for the month, as well as the highest year-over-year increase, up 7.5% to $131.6 million. Slots were up 5.3% to $108.8 million, and table games increased 9% to $20 million. Sports betting generated $2.2 million.
Northern casinos reported the second-highest revenue for the month, up 2.1% to $41.2 million. Slots in the region increased 3% to $33.8 million, and table games rose 5.9% to $5.2 million. Sports betting yielded $285,946.
Central casinos recorded the lowest revenue in February at $27.7 million, up 4.2. Slots were up 5.6% to $24.6 million, and table games declined 10.3% to $1.9 million. Sports betting was $987,764.
