Michigan: MGM Grand Detroit appoints Craytonia Collins as Vice President of Hospitality

MGM Grand Detroit on Tuesday appointed Craytonia Collins as Vice President of Hospitality. Collins, who has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently served as Vice President of Hospitality at Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, where he directed and supervised food and beverage operations.

“Craytonia is a proven hospitality leader with an exceptional ability to elevate guest experiences while driving operational excellence,” Matt Buckley, President & Chief Operating Officer of MGM Resorts Midwest Group said in a statement.

“His depth of experience across hotel and food and beverage operations, combined with his commitment to developing strong teams, makes him an outstanding addition to MGM Grand Detroit. We are excited to welcome him and confident he will play a key role in advancing our hospitality vision.”

A news release says Collins has a track record of overseeing diverse operations across departments such as food and beverage, concierge, housekeeping, and front desk operations. He worked at Gold Strike Casino for more than 15 years, where he held positions including Director of Hotel Operations, Hotel Manager, and Executive Director of Hotel and Food and Beverage Operations.

Prior to that, Collins held senior leadership roles with Starwood Hotels and Resorts as Director of Front Office Operations at the Westin Riverwalk San Antonio, Texas; InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Houston, Texas; and at the Willard InterContinental in Washington, D.C.
