MGM Resorts International and nightclub operator Hakkasan Group ended several of their management agreements over locations inside the casino operator’s Las Vegas Strip resorts.
In an announcement Tuesday, MGM said it will assume operations of six venues inside three properties – Stack at The Mirage; Fix, Yellowtail, and Lily Lounge at Bellagio; and Alibi Ultra Lounge and Herringbone at Aria.
The changeover takes place May 31.
Hakkasan Group will continue to manage Jewel Nightclub and Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria; 1OAK Nightclub at The Mirage; Wet Republic Ultra Pool and Level Up at MGM Grand Las Vegas, and the property’s Hakkasan Group-owned venue Hakkasan Nightclub and Restaurant a.
Hakkasan Group CFO Michael Ryan-Southern said in a statement the company will continue to bring new hospitality concepts to the Las Vegas Strip. He said the company is focused on “strategic global expansion in key destinations around the world.”
MGM Resorts Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage Strategy Ari Kastrati said the company the management and employees of the locations the company will take over will be retained.
“We will be focused on a seamless transition,” he said.
