Massachusetts: All casinos see revenue declines in December, down 4.2% year-over-year

Massachusetts’ three commercial casinos generated $97.9 million in December, up 4.2% from December 2024.

The latest report from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission shows that all three casinos saw year-over-year revenue declines last month, with Encore Boston Harbor recording the biggest decline of 4.7%, falling to $61.8 million. Table games revenue at the casino declined 12.3% to $24.8 million. It was the only state casino to see slot revenue rise in November, up 1.2% to just more than $37 million.

MGM Springfield experienced a drop of 3.4%to $21.9 million. Table games and slots revenue fell, with table games down 4.8% to $3.6 million, while slots revenue fell 3.1% to $18.3 million.

Plainridge Park, which offers only slots, posted the smallest year-over-year decline in December, falling 3% to $14.1 million.

Statewide, slots revenue was down 0.9% to $69.5 million. Table games revenue decreased by 11.4% to $28.4 million.
