Maryland casinos collected $160.7 million in gaming revenue during June, down 1.4% from June 2024’s $162.9 million and down 8.9% from May.
Two of the six casinos included in the Maryland Lottery and Gaming report reported year-over-year gaming revenue increases.
Ocean Downs Casino posted the most year-over-year percentage growth, with its revenues increasing 4.3% to $8.5 million in June from $8.1 million. Horseshoe Casino saw revenues increase by 0.8% to $14.3 million from $14.1 million.
Rocky Gap Casino’s revenue was up just $2,000 to $4.6 million.
Three casinos saw revenue drop.
MGM National Harbor is the state’s most significant generator of revenue, bringing in $67.2 million in June, but that was down 1.4% from $68.2 million. Live! Casino & Hotel brought in $59 million in June, down 2.4% from $60.4 million. Hollywood Casino revenue dropped 3.7% from to $7.2 million from $7.5 million.
While the land-based casino industry struggled in June, the Maryland Lottery has recently proposed changes to the state’s sports betting regulations to reduce the amount available to give away in promotional bets.
