Marker Trax this week announced Mark Karen has joined the company as Vice President of Product.
Karen has more than 30 years of experience leading large-scale software development, product strategy, and technology innovation across highly regulated gaming and enterprise environments. Karen will oversee cross-functional teams responsible for product strategy and execution, guiding Marker Trax’ product roadmap from concept through launch while supporting the company’s continued growth across land-based and digital gaming platforms.
“Mark’s deep experience building and scaling complex gaming technology platforms makes him an ideal leader for this next phase of Marker Trax’ evolution,” Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner said in a statement. “His background in regulated gaming systems, combined with his ability to align product, engineering, and business objectives, will be instrumental as we expand our product offerings and continue to innovate for our casino partners.”
Most recently, Karen served as Aristocrat Technologies Senior Vice President of Software Development, leading global engineering teams supporting Class II and Class III gaming systems, the Gaming Development Kit, and studio development initiatives for Secret Sauce and Studio 54. While at Aristocrat, he also played a key role in delivering scalable, high-performance gaming platforms and tools used across multiple markets.
Karen has held senior leadership and development roles at Cash Systems, Bally Gaming, Konami Gaming, and Sigma Game, contributing to the development of gaming and embedded software products. Karen has led organizations of more than 300 team members, managed multi-million-dollar technology portfolios, and driven product innovation within complex regulatory frameworks.
At Marker Trax, Karen will lead product planning and prioritization efforts, oversee submissions to independent test laboratories and guide mobile application development. He also will supervise technology buildout and expansion initiatives supporting land-based casino environments and digital gaming solutions.
Karen reports directly to Skinner.
“I’m excited to join Marker Trax at a time of significant opportunity in the gaming industry,” said Karen. “The company is uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, compliance, and player experience, and I look forward to working with the team to deliver innovative products that create value for operators and patrons alike.”
