Las Vegas tourism officials are going all in when it comes to attracting WWE to the city for a second consecutive year in April. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors is considering an agreement in the amount of $6 million to host Wrestlemania 42 at Allegiant Stadium April 18-19.
WWE’s event will be hosted in back-to-back years in a city for the first time since 1989. Earlier this year, WrestleMania 41 attracted 124,000 fans to Allegiant Stadium and generated more than 140,000 estimated incremental room nights tied to the weeklong series of WWE events. In addition to the two-night Allegiant stadium event, WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World, and the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas, as well as a variety of community-outreach events, officials said.
The Board will meet Tuesday to consider the expenditure.
Also on the agenda is a proposal to purchase race and hospitality tickets for the Las Vegas Grand Prix later this month in the amount of $1.25 million. The tickets will be given to LVCVA customers, destination partners, and stakeholders.
“The 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix will be a premier worldwide sporting event that will bring significant domestic and international visitation to Las Vegas and brand awareness to the destination,” said LVCVA CEO Steve Hill. “The Grand Prix presents a key opportunity to bring the LVCVA’s and the destination’s largest current and potential customers to the city to experience the Grand Prix events and learn about the destination’s many business offerings.”
The proposed expenditure may also include the acquisition of tickets to be resold to destination properties and community members for their use. The LVCVA will be reimbursed for such tickets, Hill said.
