Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, Louisiana, on Monday donated $50,000 to the Avoyelles Commission of Tourism to support the commission’s efforts to promote Avoyelles Parish as a travel destination. It is Paragon’s second contribution to the ACT.
The funding reinforces Paragon’s commitment to fostering growth, partnership and economic opportunity across Central Louisiana.
“It’s important to us at Paragon to invest in the people and organizations that make our parish a great place to live and visit,” Paragon Casino Resort General Manager Marshall Ray Sampson Sr. said in a statement. “Avoyelles Parish is rich with culture, history and opportunity, and we’re honored to support the Avoyelles Commission of Tourism in sharing that story with visitors from near and far.”
ACT drives awareness of the region’s offerings, from its rich Creole and Native American heritage to its one-of-a-kind festivals, outdoor recreation and culinary traditions. Paragon’s donation will enhance marketing efforts, attract more visitors and create new opportunities for local businesses that depend on tourism.
“Paragon Casino Resort continues to be one of our most cherished community partners,” said Avoyelles Commission of Tourism Executive Director Wilbert Carmouche. “Their generosity allows us to expand our outreach, highlight the places and people that make Avoyelles so special and build a stronger tourism economy that benefits everyone who calls this parish home.”
