Light & Wonder will introduce new hardware, games, table innovations and systems solutions at the Global Gaming Expo October 7-9 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas. Featured is the new LightWave cabinet, a state-of-the-art casino slot machine that features a unique multi-plane canvas.
In a news release, Light & Wonder said it is committed to hardware innovation, with each new platform designed to raise the player experience, expand operator flexibility, and build on the success of proven franchises.
“Our mission is to create the world’s best games, and G2E is where we bring that vision to life,” Light & Wonder President and CEO Matt Wilson said in a statement. “LightWave and our new cabinets are more than new hardware – they’re new ways to play, creating immersive experiences that captivate players and give our customers the tools to shape the future of the casino floor. Every product in our booth reflects our goal of delivering the world’s best gaming experiences.”
Making its tradeshow debut is LightWave, Light & Wonder’s latest large-scale portrait cabinet. The new gaming machine offers a full-length, bank-wide visual display that integrates machine-mounted LCD screens with high-resolution micro-LED surrounds. The synchronized displays merge into a single canvas that extends beyond one machine, creating a cross-bank immersive experience that can be seen from across the casino floor.
The cabinet is launching with five new titles including Frankenstein Returns, Jackpot Party Vip Disco, Dancing Drums Revolution, Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls Explosion, and Visitors from the Planet Moolah.
Building on the success of the Cosmic cabinet family, the company will introduce Cosmic Dual. Featuring dual 27-inch HD displays and an optional topper, the cabinet is designed for universal placement across global markets. The launch will be headlined by Huff N’ Lots of Puff, the latest addition to fan-favorite Huff N’ Puff franchise, also an igaming title.
Light & Wonder’s next-generation dual tower platform, Cosmic Sky, features dual stacked 55-inch Ultra HD curved displays and will be unveiled at G2E. The cabinet’s new Cosmic lighting silhouette paired with modern MLED bank packaging and the new iDECK player interface combine to create an immersive player experience.
Also making its G2E debut is the Landmark 7000 Jackpot Wheel. The cabinet follows the success of the Landmark 7000 and integrates a new top box wheel while maintaining stepper familiarity. Launch titles include Universal Pictures’ Frankenstein and The Mummy, the first use of the Universal Monsters franchise in the stepper category.
For the Tables side, Light & Wonder will present its new progressive system, Nexlink, which offers 27” dual-sided signage with edge lighting, new player interactive bet sensors, and a sound system.
Light & Wonder will debut the new Obsidian Hybrid, featuring a 27” horizontal monitor, RGB-controlled side lighting, and dual phone chargers. Players can also play up to four different games concurrently. The cabinet launches with Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, and the first ETG release of Free Bet Blackjack.
Light &Wonder also will have its Obsidian Auto Roulette on hand with Roulette, Roulettex, and the progressive Powerx Roulette.
The systems team will spotlight innovations that enhance the player journey and streamline operations. A major highlight is Ticket-In, Ticket-Out (TITO) at tables, which brings the convenience and efficiency of slot play to table games. The advancement reduces disruptions for players, simplifies transactions, and enables operators to maximize table game efficiency across the floor.
The company will demonstrate how it is bridging land-based and digital play through unified loyalty, cross-linked jackpots and seamless wallets, giving players a connected experience where they choose to engage. Attendees can also get a firsthand look at the company’s Cardless NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. With this enhancement, patrons can tap their digital player card to instantly login and start their play session at a slot machine or table game.
L&W will also debut its Elite Bonusing Xperience (EBX), powered by Display Manager 3.0. EBX integrates proven social gaming mechanics into the casino environment, offering challenges, level progression, mystery gifts, and time-released rewards that drive repeat visits and extended play. Prizes can be awarded directly to player accounts, supporting carded play and creating engagement across the floor.
Light & Wonder igaming features an expanded list of digital-first games. The success of the Huff N’ Puff franchise online continues with more games online from this and other game families such as Big Hot Flaming Pots, Lion Link, and Rainbow Riches along with the Thundering and Egglink series from Lightning Box.
Light & Wonder is making improvements to platforms and games to create better player experiences including enhanced spin speeds, loading times and a redesigned buy-a-bonus.
Light & Wonder core studios are scheduled to go from building 24 to 40 games per year. In addition, an igaming studio will be introduced focused on building custom content using proven L&W game engines.
Light & Wonder igaming will continue to introduce new game features from the Elevate suite of products and build on marketing jackpots and the newly live Flash Drops. These include converged jackpots, cross play and lite-play.
The company’s charitable gaming segment, Grover Gaming, will showcase new and flagship titles including Eureka Reel Blast and Hot Hot Blazing Lock.
Light & Wonder’s innovations will be showcased in Booth #1116.
