Las Vegas-based Light & Wonder Inc. is bringing its content-creation platform Playzido to the regulated Ontario market, the company announced Thursday.
The move is the latest step in its strategy to develop localized content in tandem with independent game developers. It provides operators access to new gaming offerings for players through Light & Wonder’s Playzido Remote Gaming Server platform.
“It provides further evidence of our mission to empower operators to craft groundbreaking and branded content, both in North America and beyond,” said Bryan Bridger, Light & Wonder’s Managing Director for Canada. “We are now focused on creating a host of compelling new gaming experiences that speak to player appetites in Ontario.”
This will be debut of the Playzido platform in the Canadian market. Light & Wonder’s overall online gaming ecosystem features more than 3,500 games, a network across the globe of in-house and third-party game studios.
In Ontario, players will now have access to titles like Bang Bang Games, Atlantic Digital and Pixiu Gaming, Bridger said.
Light & Wonder in November reported its 10th consecutive quarter of consolidated revenue growth and fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth year over year, according to their third-quarter results.
