Boosted by improved weekend visitation, increased vehicle travel from southern California, and a packed entertainment calendar, February saw Las Vegas record its first year-over-year gain in visitor volume since December 2024, bringing in more than three million people. It was equivalent to the non-Super Bowl February 2023.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said the 3.03 million visitor mark was 2.1% higher than the 2.97 million visitors in February 2025. There were 3.08 million visitors in February 2023. It was 3.18 million in February 2019 prior to the pandemic, which means visitation last month was only 5% below that.
The LVCVA in its release cited improved weekend visitation and steady convention attendance of 613,000, which came in 2,400 behind last year’s tally when the city hosted the International Builders Show that brought in 75,000.
Weekends saw 89.3% occupancy in February, up from 86.4% in February 2025. It was 89.3% in February 2023. The Strip had 85% occupancy, up from 83.5% a year ago. It was 85.2% in February 2023.
It’s a one-month sign that the resort destination may be recovering from a nearly 8% drop in visitation in 2025.
Weekday occupancy was 78.1%, up from 77.7%. Downtown occupancy took a slight hit at 65.9%, down from 67.5%.
The Strip had an average daily room rate of $207.28, up from $198.69 a year ago. It was $188.18 in February 2023. The revenue per room was $176.19 in February, up from $165.91 in February 2025. It was $160.33 in February 2923.
Downtown, the average daily rate was $96.72, equivalent to the $96.32 in February 2025. It was $95.23 in February 2023. Revenue per room was $63.74, down from $65.07 in February 2025. It was $64.38 in February 2023.
While air passenger counts fell 3.3% in February, vehicle traffic on I-15 from southern California rose 3.6% to 39,296 crossing the state line daily, up from 37,948.
Special events included the Colosseum at Caesars Palace hosting Def Leppard all throughout the month of February. The T-Mobile Arena hosted the welterweight title bout between Barrios and Garcia on February 21st. The MSG Sphere hosted the Wizard of Oz all throughout February 202.
Performances at the MSG Sphere also included the Backstreet Boys from February 5th through the 15th and the Eagles from February 20th through the 28th. New Kids on the Block performed February 14th through the 28th at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM. Marc Anthony performed at Fontainebleau’s BleauLive Theater from February 13th through February 21st.
