Gaming equipment provider Everi Holdings named Las Vegas gaming attorney Kate Lowenhar-Fisher as the company’s general counsel, effective next Monday.
Lowenhar-Fisher has spent nearly two decades representing and advising gaming equipment suppliers and casino operators on corporate, legal, compliance, and regulatory matters; including financings, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and igaming.
She most recently worked in the Las Vegas office of Dickinson Wright, where she chaired the firm’s Gaming and Hospitality Practice Group.
“(Kate’s) extensive experience across a comprehensive range of corporate issues and deep knowledge of the gaming industry’s unique regulatory and compliance standards will be vital assets for our business going forward,” Everi CEO Michael Rumbolz said in a statement. “With Everi’s growth focus and future expansion opportunities, we are fortunate to welcome to our team someone with Kate’s experience in so many aspects of gaming and corporate law.”
At Dickinson Wright, Lowenhar-Fisher was part of the legal that, Gaming Law and Practice, a book on casino gaming law in the United States. Prior to joining Dickinson Wright, she worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where she specialized in gaming law and commercial transactions.
Lowenhar-Fisher is a member of the International Association of Gaming Advisors and the International Masters of Gaming Law. She is a graduate of Stanford University and earned her law degree at the Emory University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Nevada and California.
