Following New Year’s weekend, all of the Downtown Grand’s 1,124 hotel rooms will become completely non-smoking the casino told local news on Wednesday.

“We’re very excited to announce our new policy as it was very important for us to align with what Downtown Grand is known for – an elevated hotel experience,” vice president and general manager John Culetsu said in a statement. “Providing our guests with not only great rooms, restaurants and gaming but also a more comfortable stay is one of our top priorities.”

The policy will take effect on January 3rd and includes cigarettes, marijuana, and e-cigarettes.

Formerly named Lady Luck, Downtown Grand, located in downtown Las Vegas, has been owned by CIM Group since 2007 when it purchased the casino for $100 million.

In September 2020, construction on a hotel tower was completed adding 495 rooms and an expansive interactive art program.
