Entering the space, a visitor is struck by the sumptuous décor and attention to the smallest details. There are plush couches and lounges, polished surfaces, and muted, intimate lighting.

One can imbibe from a collection of rare spirits, crafted cocktails and a diverse selection of small plates.

And the view from 66 stories high, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, is nothing short of breathtaking.

Welcome to Resorts World Las Vegas’ Alle on 66, a space that is spectacular — and relatively unknown.

“The majority of customers say, ‘why didn’t we know that this space is here?’” Resorts World SVP Hospitality Development Josef Wagner tells CDC Gaming. “It’s incredible, right? … Guests are very surprised that the space exists and that they didn’t know about it before.”

At approximately 3,262 square feet, Alle on 66 feels alternately cozy and expansive. The views of the Las Vegas Strip make it seem like a guest is peering down from above.

Wagner says the intent was to make Alle on 66 feel like a “penthouse in the sky.”

“When you look at the design, it should be that you see the 360-degree panorama wasn’t just treated as a backdrop, but it’s an almost active part of the design,” Wagner says. “It feels like you are immersed in the Las Vegas skyline. That was really the goal.”

Steelman Partners was the architect for Alle on 66, and Dalton Steelman Arias Anderson was the interior design studio that planned the space.

“The goal was to create an atmosphere equal to the vantage point,” Wagner says. “I think that was a very easy and clear direction. And when you arrive, it shouldn’t feel off putting and it should feel immediately comfortable, like when you walk into somebody’s residence, a warm tones, welcoming feeling.”

Alle on 66 is self-contained, with a self-contained kitchen and bathrooms. It has hosted a number of events, including an after-party for a Janet Jackson concert and CDC Gaming’s Day Zero party.

“We had recently a mixology pop-up taking place in Alle on 66 where we partnered with the world’s 50 best mixologists,” Wagner says, “one of which was Giorgio Bargiani from The Connaught bar in London and mixed wonderful cocktails. It’s a very versatile space.”

The venue has hosted the Sunset Wine Tasting event featuring globally sourced wines, to take advantage of the spectacular view and the from twilight to night. Now on hiatus because the sun sets so early, Sunset Wine Tasting is hosted by Resorts World Wine Director Drew D’Errico, who explains the history of the wines served while guests try different vintages.

“We’re working on bringing this experience back with several different iterations, where you can actually increase into super Tuscan wines or some really elevated wines from Napa Valley,” Wagner says.

The dress code for Alle on 66 is upscale casual. No swimwear, athletic apparel or sandals are permitted in the lounge. Wagner says the dress code ensures that guests feel like they are in a “sophisticated and warm space.”

If there is an issue with Alle on 66, it’s that the space is relatively anonymous. Too many guests have stayed at Resorts World for multiple visits and are unaware of the space.

“It’s obviously up to Lexi (Leal, RWLV Director of Public Relations and Communications) and myself and the whole team here to actually create a destination out of this beautiful space,” Wagner says. … “This is a destination. This is something you have to do when you’re in Las Vegas.”
