Las Vegas tourism continues its downward slide, taking another hit in November. Passenger traffic at Reid International Airport fell nearly 10% last month, led by a steep drop in foreign travel, along with continued decline in domestic travel.
The airport reported 4.27 million passengers passed through in November, down 9.6% from 4.73 million in November 2024.
A big reason for the decline was a 21.2% decline in international passengers, dropping from more than 303,000 a year ago to 239,500. By contrast, domestic travel was off 8.8% from 4.33 million to 3.95 million.
For the year, passenger counts are down 5.5% from 53.5 million to 50.6 million, a decline of nearly three million passengers.
Travel on Canadian airlines fell by nearly 35% collectively. By contrast, air travel from European countries was flat to up slightly year over year, while the passenger count on Korean Airlines rose nearly 10%.
CoStar reported hotel room demand in the U.S. Dec. 7-13 continued to fall, led by Las Vegas comprising 20% of the total decline.
