Kansas casinos recorded $33.1 million in revenue last month, up 2.7% from the previous year’s $32.3 million.
The figures, published by the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, revealed that of the state’s four casinos, two reported year-over-year revenue increases, Hollywood Casino and Kansas Star Casino. Hollywood Casino increased 9.6% from $12.6 million to $13.8 million, and Kansas Star Casino growing 2.8% from $12.6 million to $12.9 million.
Electronic gaming machines at Hollywood Casino were up 11.5% year-over-year, generating $12.5 million, while table games declined 5.8% to $1.3 million. At Kansas Star, EGMs were up 7.7% to $11.4 million. Table games dropped 22.7% to $1.6 million year-over-year.
Boot Hill Casino recorded the highest revenue decline last month, with revenue dropping 14.3% from $3.9 million to $3.3 million. EGMs fell 16.1% to $2.9 million, while table games remained mostly flat with a 0.8% decrease year-over-year.
Kansas Crossing generated the lowest revenue for the month, reporting $3.1 million, a year-over-year decline of 4.4% from $3.2 million. EGMs dropped 4.3% to $2.8 million, as table games declined 5.9% year-over-year.
Statewide. EGMs were up 5% to $29.6 million and table games were down 13.5% year-over-year, dropping to $3.5 million.
