Kansas’ four commercial casinos generated $37.3 million in revenue last month, up 3.9% from $35.9 million last August.
The figures, published by the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, reveal that of the four casinos, three reported year-over-year revenue increases.
Hollywood Casino reported the highest revenue last month. The casino generated $15.1 million in revenue, up 4.2% year-over-year from $14.5 million. Electronic gaming machines and table games also increased, rising from $12.9 million to $13.4 million and $1.59 million to $1.6 million, respectively.
Kansas Star Casino was the only other casino to report a double-digit revenue, generating $14.6 million last month, up 3.7% year-over-year from $14.1 million. Electronic gaming machines were up from $11.6 million to $12.9 million, while table games dropped 31.9% from $2.5 million to $1.7 million.
Kansas Crossing Casino reported the lowest revenue for the month, up 0.3% year-over-year from $3.2 million to $3.5 million. Electronic gaming machines made up most of the total at $3.2 million, while table games yielded $258,449.
Boot Hill saw revenue drop 0.3% percent from $4.14 to $4.12 million. Electronic gaming machines declined from $3.69 million to $3.67 million, and table games increased by 3.1% to $456,506 year-over-year.
