The four commercial casinos in Kansas collected revenues of $35.3 million in November, a Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission has reported, a 5.7 percent increase from $33.4 million in October and a 12.2 percent improvement from $31.4 million in November 2023.
Electronic gaming machines, or slots, accounted for $30.8 million of the monthly revenue, while table games contributed the remaining $4.5 million.
Compared month-over-month and year-over-year, all four casinos reported revenue increases. Hollywood Casino & Resort held the top spot with $14.2 million, followed by $13.7 million by Kansas Star Casino & Resort. Boot Hill Casino & Resort generated just more than $4 million, while Kansas Crossing contributed the remaining $3.3 million.
The casinos kept around $25.7 million, or 73 percent, of that, while the remaining 27 percent going to the state, local communities and the problem gambling fund.
November also was a strong month for Kansas sports betting. The Kansas Lottery reported a $291 million handle and $25.5 million in revenue, both records. While handle was up by 5.5 percent from November 2023, revenue increased by more than 400 percent.
