Iowa’s casinos generated $136.2 million in revenue in February, rising 7% year-over-year.
The figures, published by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, show that slots accounted for $124.1 million, up 7.6%, while table games rose 1.2% to $12.1 million.
Of the 19 casinos, Prairie Meadows generated the biggest revenue last month – $19.9 million – up 12.1%. Other casinos reporting double-digit increases included Lakeside Casino, up 21.8% to $4.4 million; Wild Rose Clinton (14.3%), Q Casino (12.3%), Casino Queen Marquette (11%), Diamond Jo Worth (10.5%), and Wild Rose Emmetsburg (10.3%).
Also reporting increases were Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs, up 4.6% to $13.5 million; Ameristar II, up 5.5% to $12.9 million; and Riverside Casino, up 6.3% year-to $10.1 million.
The only two casinos to record year-over-year revenue declines were Catfish Bend Casino, down 0.9% to $3.4 million; and Grand Falls Casino, down 0.5% to $7.2 million.
