The International Casino & Resort Working Dog Association November 2 will host the 2025 International Casino K9 Trials at the Tuscany Casino & Suites in Las Vegas.

K9 teams from major casinos and private security companies in Las Vegas will compete head-to-head for awards. Teams from Australia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and Canada are also scheduled to attend.

ICRWDA President Ryan Milbern said in a statement that “it’s the only event in the world where casino-based explosives, bed bug, mold, narcotics, and patrol dogs are tested side-by-side in real-world environments.”

ICRWDA training classes that will be offered include:

  • Understanding K9 Psychological Traits & Instincts
  • Why the Fastest Growing Detection Discipline is Mold
  • From Posts to People – Transforming Static Explosives Detection Dogs to Human Borne Detection
  • Biting with Confidence – Patrol K9 for Security Professionals

The ICRWDA is dedicated to ensuring casino K9 handlers receive the training and support needed to keep gaming properties safe from harm. The organization will provide free classroom training to all casino security personnel throughout the day.

The public is invited to watch the Handler Protection competition from 4-6:30 p.m. on November 2 from the Tuscany’s ballroom balconies. Admission is free.
