BetMGM Monday announced the launch of its mobile app in Illinois over the weekend. BetMGM customers are now able to use the gaming operator’s online sports wagering platform and earn points to access experiences at MGM Resorts properties.
The launch comes before the NCAA men’s basketball tournament begins next week.
“This launch marks a significant milestone for BetMGM as we enter one of the country’s biggest sports betting markets,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt in a statement. “We look forward to working with the state of Illinois to bring its passionate sports fans a new, innovative and unique sports betting experience.”

The BetMGM app allows bettors to customize pre-game wagers, live in-play, futures and parlays. Free-to-play contests and BetMGM’s One Game Parlay product are also available.
BetMGM recently launched its loyalty program BetMGM Rewards, allowing patrons to earn points while wagering. The points are redeemable at MGM Resorts properties for accommodations and experiences across the country.
BetMGM also addresses responsible gaming education through GameSense, a program licensed to MGM Resorts through the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. GameSense, integrated in the mobile app and desktop platforms, allows customers to access programs that complement BetMGM’s responsible gaming tools.
