The International Center for Responsible Gaming on Monday announced a request for applications for two research grants.
The first research grant request is for “Research on the Effects of Gambling Policy Reforms in Brazil.” This RFA invites research focused on the effects of recent gambling policy reforms in Brazil. These reforms have the potential to rapidly transform the gambling landscape, raising questions regarding their societal, economic, and public health effects. This initiative seeks to pay for high-quality research addressing these issues.
Application deadline is October 13, with funding up to $187,500.
The second request is for “Gambling Behaviors and Problems Among College-Aged Individuals, Students and Athletes.” This RFA targets research on gambling behaviors and related problems among college-aged people, students, and athletes. Proposals should investigate the prevalence, risk factors, and effects of gambling within these populations, with special attention to online sports betting behaviors and their consequences.
Application deadline is also October 13, with a funding pool of up to $450,000.
