Multi-Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsay is a British celebrity, restaurateur, and reality-television star known for his culinary excellence, as well as meltdowns directed at competing chefs on the programs he stars in.
Great Canadian Entertainment, the gaming and hospitality company with 25 facilities in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, knows how to get crowds out to their properties, so Thursday’s announcement of a partnership with Gordon Ramsay North America coincides nicely with a series of news updates this summer, most notably the opening of the new Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto.
Great Canadian is bringing the chef’s culinary offerings to its casinos and resorts in Canada.
This fall, Gordon Ramsay Burger will open its doors at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, with Gordon Ramsay Steak following next year at River Rock Casino Resort.
“This partnership represents a monumental moment for our company, as the addition of Gordon Ramsay Burger and Gordon Ramsay Steak in British Columbia will offer our guests an unrivalled dining experience,” said Matthew Anfinson, CEO of Great Canadian, in a statement, “and we are eager for the opportunity to introduce additional Gordon Ramsay brands at other Great Canadian destinations in Canada.”
The steakhouse will feature some of the chef’s signature dishes, like his famous Beef Wellington. The burger restaurant will feature an assortment of gourmet burgers, scratch-made sauces, and hand-crafted shakes.
In 2019, Ramsay did a deal with private equity firm Lion Capital to expand Gordon Ramsay restaurant concepts across the U.S. The company has 24 restaurants in Las Vegas, New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Boston, Connecticut, Indiana, Orlando, North Carolina, Atlantic City, Baltimore, Lake Tahoe, southern California, and Kansas City, several of which are in partnership with Caesars Entertainment.
