Global Gaming Women recently announced that Shannon Call will be its new Coordinator. A San Diego, California, native, Call has spent the past eight years raising money for food insecurity causes and managing multiple levels of nonprofit organizations. She has served on the board of Amtgard International and leads the event planning committee for the large-scale event Olympiad.

Call began her career in the restaurant industry, managing and eventually owning two Jimmy John’s franchise locations before following her passion for nonprofit work.

“We are thrilled to welcome Shannon to the Global Gaming Women team and look forward to the energy, creativity, and dedication she will bring to our mission,” GGW Executive Vice President Pam Buckley said in a statement. “Her areas of focus will be day-to-day operational efficiencies, tasks and tracking as well as assisting our marketing committee. Her first day with Global Gaming Women will be August 18.”

Call graduated summa cum laude from the University of Redlands with a double major in Business Management and Creative Fiction Writing.
