Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is expanding its relationship with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, with the announcement of a new affiliate marketing agreement.
Gateway is one of the largest gaming and entertainment companies in Canada, with 29 properties in Ontario and British Columbia and two additional properties in Edmonton.
In the new affiliate agreement, Gateway will promote OLG’s icasino slots and table games, including live casino, as well as its PROLINE+ digital sportsbook thr0ugh OLG.ca, to Gateway customers in Ontario.
“Our customers can enjoy the convenience of playing their favorite games or betting on the big game from the convenience of their phone or laptop,” said Tony Santo, CEO of Gateway. “We will bring the action to them through OLG.ca to keep the fun going in between visits to a Gateway casino.”
The agreement to promote OLG’s products to Gateway customers builds on their current business relationship. Gateway operates 14 casinos in southwest, north, and central Ontario on the OLG’s behalf. The company has been embarking on a development program in the communities where they operate, adding their casino and food and beverage brands like Match Eatery & Public House and the new Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach.
Gateway customers will get a link to take them to the OLG.ca site via their mobile, laptop, or desktop devices. Terms of the revenue split were not announced.
“Our new marketing agreement with Gateway is another example of how we’re working with our partners to build on the strength of the OLG brand and enhance the gaming experience for customers,” said Duncan Hannay, OLG’s president and CEO. “This in turn helps us increase our contribution to the people and province of Ontario.”
Gateway has also been integrating OLG’s PlaySmart at all their gaming sites, as a sign of their commitment to responsible gambling. All Gateway properties, as well as OLG.ca, hold RG Check accreditation.
Great Canadian Entertainment, another casino operator with properties throughout Canada, including Ontario, has four sportsbooks in operation in the province – at Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel, Pickering Casino Resort, Elements Casino Brantford, and Shorelines Casino Belleville.
