Gaming research organization seeks executive director

The nonprofit International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) Wednesday announced a search for a new executive director. The current director, Russell Sanna, is retiring in June 2021.

The ICRG board of directors is seeking candidates with senior management experience, familiarity with the gaming entertainment industry, and connections within the industry. The job is primarily focused on fund raising and strategic planning. The executive director reports to the board of directors of the ICRG.

“The ICRG Board of Directors looks forward to working with a new executive director who will help ICRG continue to expand its global impact,” said ICRG Senior Research Director Christine Reilly.

The organization’s initiatives include EMERGE (Executive, Management & Employee Responsible Gaming Education, a science-based employee education program created by Harvard Medical School faculty, and Gambling Disorders 360, a blog that tracks news and issues related to gambling disorders and responsible gaming.

One of ICRG’s  current initiatives is the Sports Wagering Fund which will support innovative research on the public health impact of sports betting. Grant applications will be accepted June 1, 2021.  ICRG expects to issue a grant award in Sept. 2021.

Since 1996, the ICRG has rigorously studied gambling disorders and responsible gaming designed to help individuals and families affected by gambling disorders through first-class scientific research and evidence-based educational programming.
