Las Vegas-based table game provider Galaxy Gaming appointed Todd Cravens as the company’s chief executive, replacing the company’s embattled founder whose gaming license application was halted earlier this month.

Cravens, who joined Galaxy in January as vice president of business development, was the CEO of the Americas for TCS John Huxley and has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry.

“Todd is an outstanding choice to lead the company going forward,” Saucier said in a statement. “He has the respect of the Galaxy team and of our clients, and I know he will move quickly to advance the many opportunities in front of us.”

Saucier was questioned by Nevada gaming regulators for more than eight hours over two days of hearings that covered a variety of issues. The board was on a path toward unanimously voting that Saucier be found unsuitable to be licensed in Nevada.  The matter was referred back to the Gaming Control Board staff.

Galaxy has operated in Nevada for 17 years and has 583 tables in 82 casinos in the state.

Saucier remains with the company as a director and has been appointed to the position of executive vice president of business development and chief product officer.

Cravens said he was excited to expand his role with the company.

“I step into the position surrounded by a very solid team that is focused on creating great products and servicing our clients,” Cravens said. “The company has made substantial investments in people and products over the last two years, and this puts us in an excellent position to better serve clients in both new and existing markets.”

Galaxy’s board elected Mark Lipparelli as a director and Chairman. Lipparelli previously served as a senior executive for several publicly traded gaming manufacturers including Bally Technologies, Shuffle Master, and Casino Data Systems.

Lipparelli was a member and chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and is a former Nevada State Senator.
